My philosophy is that art should make people feel things. If you leave a show laughing, crying, or with an incredible sense of wonder, I figure that I’ve done a good job.

I graduated from Willamette University with a bachelor of arts, specializing in composition and arrangements. In my time there, I did many arrangements for the A Cappella group Headband, wrote original songs as a part of a summer grant project, and wrote the music to In the Deep, a new musical.

In my time at Willamette University I took classes in sound design, and designed two mainstage productions, The Amateurs in 2021, and The Liar in 2022. Additionally in the fall of 2022 and spring of 2023 I did the lighting for several shows in Smith Auditorium.

In 2022, I released an EP of music outlining my experience growing up in the 21st century. I worked on this project from the writing and arranging stages, recording, and mixing before sending it off to get mastered, then self-releasing it onto streaming platforms. Additionally I have done music production work for Headband A cappellla.
From 2021-2023 I was the music director of Headband A Cappella. Academically I was the bass section leader and student conductor for the Willamette Chamber Choir from 2020-2023, while concurrently taking classes in beginning and advanced conducting. In the spring of 2023, I directed a staged reading of In the Deep, the musical I wrote with E. M. Lewis
